Liquid Blue: 2006-03-09 webmail

Notes

Text above the webmail form says "Thanks for taking the time to send us feedback. As part of our redesign process, we very much appreciate your comments and suggestions."

Why does the search box go away when I log in with my email and password? Having to browse for each item drastically slows down the ordering process, which is one of the reasons I don't use the online ordering system much.

The other reason I don't use it much is that there's no option to just enter in a bunch of catalog numbers all at once; you have to find each one, select quantities, and add to cart. Very tedious. My orders are generated electronically, so I could easily paste a list of catalog numbers into an edit box, but since I can't do that it's easier just to generate a Word document and email it.

Also... the right-click JavaScript which seems intended to prevent people from stealing images is counterproductive; anyone who really wants to steal an image can disable JavaScript on their browser and then right-click as before, and it prevents people from legitimately copying links (which I needed to do for a customer this morning).

Thanks for your ongoing improvements to the Liquid Blue site; I use it frequently to quickly locate stock and pricing information for LB products.

Response

I got a very good response to this (almost immediately, long after business hours) and several back-and-forth emails ensued. Will document when I have time. Meanwhile, it should be noted that Liquid Blue does read their web comment-form submissions, for which they deserve substantial kudos. --Woozle 10:45, 10 March 2006 (EST)
