Past news and such
- 2005-07-06: ** We will be out of town July 6-7, so no orders or emails will go out on those dates.
- 2005-07-03: The wiki has been moved over to a newer server. Response time is noticeably faster.
- 2005-06-28: The main Windows machine is back up, and I'm able to process orders again. Apologies to all those whose in-stock orders were delayed. Receipt of the latest Mountain order has also revealed a data entry error on one item: MT-1595 "Memento" is only available in adult sizes, not children's. I've corrected the database and am rebuilding the web pages right now.
- 2005-06-25: currently dealing with a complete loss of data on the main Windows machine. Fortunately, all the crucial business data is backed up nightly to a Linux box, so it's just a matter of reinstalling everything. This is going to delay shipping a couple of days, however. I'm also trying to get some of the software to run under an emulator in Linux so as little as possible will depend on Windows.
- 2005-06-23: The wiki is now live, and linked from most of the vbz.net pages. It will take awhile to rebuild all of them with the new links, and I should probably do some updating (mainly topics) as well before I do the rebuild.
- 2005-06-13: Copying wiki articles over from their temporary location on the Hypertwiki. Once that's done, I need to figure out how to make it clear (from anywhere) how to get back to vbz.net proper. Once that's done, it'll be time to put in links from vbz.net itself :-)
- 2005-06-08:
- Received email from The Red Eye Express offering ad space for their September issue (I think it was). We can't really afford any real advertising now (spending about $30-40/month on Google Adwords, and that's stretching the budget), but I must say their gallery of magazine covers featuring pictures of marijuana plants is quite colorful.
- The HappyLife shirts are mostly added, but I haven't processed any of the images yet.
- Speaking of images, Liquid Blue is apparently changing their policy regarding image use; the new policy would pretty much prevent us from using them, or at the very least require a major redesign of the site. I sent them a letter about it over the weekend, but haven't heard back. More as this develops.
- 2005-05-05:
- The less good stuff: Currently spending a lot of time dealing with icky legal stuff which I should avoid discussing until it's over with.
- The Good Stuff:
- Currently adding some rather gorgeous tie-dyes from Happylife Productions, mostly fantasy but also a few Grateful Dead shirts and unprinted tie-dyes (much like those from SunDog).
- Bought some samples of Yes and Beatles t-shirts from Signatures Network; their online images are, well, of lower quality than I prefer to use, so I pretty much have to order samples to photograph. However, they have no order minimum, so this does not require the outlay of huge chunks of cash. Yay!
- I should be able to get EarthSunMoon back in the store soonish, hopefully by mid-summer
