Our current backorder policy is to handle backordered items separately from in-stock items:

  • If you place an order with both in-stock and not-in-stock items:
    • Normally we'll ship the in-stock items right away and then ship the not-in-stock items as soon as we can get them. There will be an additional package fee (usually pretty low) for each separate shipment.
    • On request, we can hold in-stock items until not-in-stock items are available, and then ship them all together. This takes longer, but is slightly cheaper.
    • We will let you know if it turns out a not-in-stock item is actually unavailable.
  • If you place an order with only not-in-stock items:
    • We will attempt to hold your order until all items have been received, but if this seems to be taking more than a couple of weeks we may go ahead and ship items as they arrive -- unless you specifically request otherwise.
